I'm having a terrible time getting through this book. I was looking for a good read about a romance, but I am getting boring details about her liberal days at Princeton, the landscape of Jordan, etc. First she's on a plane from the US to Iran, and then she jumps into a reflection about the middle eastern landscape. Yawn. Pretty woman needs a better editor.
Wonderful read that gives a Jordanian account of the Middle East’s tumultuous quest for peace. I wish I had finished reading this before a recent trip to Jordan- it offers some wonderful slices of history and spots to visit.Forewarning: The first 50 pages or so were tough to get through as Queen Noor details her privileged upbringing, but after that I was hooked.

I bought this book ver amazon and waited around 4 weeks for it to be delivered, this was obviously before I had an IPAD and I discovered ebooks! So I couldn't wait for this book to be delivered as it was also my first online purchase. But what a disappointment! I could not complete reading this book, I think I managed only about 1/2 chapters. Before giving up. It was too dense and I just felt I would not have been able to gain a true sense of Queen Noor, which I was hoping to achieve after reading her biography. I think she is a fascinating woman and she could have allowed some of that to come through in her biography.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. It explains the mess in the middle East better than anything else I have ever seen
