About the Author
Guthrie Veech, DMin, is president of St. Louis Christian College. He brings to his role more than thrity years' experience in located ministry and as a professor of preaching at Kentucky Christian University, Grayson, Kentucky. He holds degrees from Lincoln Christian College (now University), Anderson University School of Theology, and Emmanuel School of Religion. I have not had a chance to read the entire book. but what I have read and seen so far is excellent. Exactly what I was looking for. As for the cover and binding you could not ask for better. It is a leather type cover which allows it to flex unlike a hardback.The layout of the book was well done. You have divisions in the book ie. Wedding, funerals, church service etc.. The type of the book is small but it is Very easy to read. One of the main things that helped me decide to originally purchase this copy is the fact that when you buy this book it comes with a code that allows you to download all the services that are included in the Christian Minister’s Manual in fully customizable formats. All you do is load them into a word processor program and fill in the names, dates, etc.. This book is done by Dr. Guthrie Veech and personally I think he did a great job. I would recommend this to anyone in the ministry, as it would be a welcome addition to any library.
Invaluable item for any and all ministerial persons who need guidance in all areas of their ministry. It has sound recommendations on procedure and conduct as well as sample situational recommendations for the hard duties which often beset us by surprise. I have gotten several books of this type but this one is my favorite. It is concise, full of valuable tidbits, and very handy to carry around. Highly recommend this product for its content and its convenience.
The book I received was good, but it wasn’t this. It was a hard cover, which isn’t what I wanted. The information on the inside is great, just wasn’t exactly what I order.
Describes step by step instructions on how to perform religious ceremonies. A must have for seminary students and beginning pastors.
